Objectives:
TSSBAT recognize and identify attributes of a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar and dollar bill
TSSBAT state the values of a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar and dollar bill
TSSBAT compare the value of coins (nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar and dollar bill)
Standards: M.12.1.4 - Recognize and identify attributes of penny, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar bill
M.12.1.5 - State the values of a penny, nickel, dime, and quarter and dollar bill
M.12.1.6 - Compare the value of coins (pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters)
Audience: This PowerPoint game was created for a middle school (5th – 8th grade) special education classroom. 1st grade standards are being used with this activity because the students are functioning on that level or below.
Basic Instructional Design: For this project the main instructional design is drill and practice with money. I also used a PowerPoint as a nonlinear design.
Relevant graphics: The graphics used in this presentation are age appropriate for the group of students that will be using the game.
Evaluation Strategy: The students will be evaluated on the number of questions they answer correctly throughout the game.

This project was created to teach the students basic drill and practice skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
What learning theory did you base your design on?
This project was based on the behaviorism learning theory.
Describe one teaching strategy or strategies you would use this material in classroom?
